Pinellas County created this Homebuyer Assistance Program to help storm-impacted renters transition into homeownership.
<strong>What the Program Covers</strong>
Eligible buyers may receive assistance for:
Up to 100% of required down payment
Reasonable closing costs
Mortgage financing support
Subsidized interest or principal
<strong>Who May Qualify</strong>
You may be eligible if you:
Lived in Pinellas County during the hurricanes (excluding City of St. Petersburg)
Do not currently own another home
Have household income up to 120% of Area Median Income
Can qualify for a 30-year fixed-rate mortgage
<strong>Income Examples (120% AMI)</strong>
1 person – $87,600
2 people – $100,150
4 people – $125,150
<strong>How the Assistance Works</strong>
Maximum award: $80,000
Structured as a forgivable 5-year loan
20% forgiven each year
No monthly payments required
- Must occupy the home as primary residence
